Job Description

Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine of Virginia is seeking a qualified Relief DVM, Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) to provide acupuncture services on an as-needed basis. This position is intended to provide coverage during periods when our primary acupuncture provider is unavailable. The role requires demonstrated proficiency in needle acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and laser acupuncture. As our caseload grows, this relief position has the potential to develop into a recurring or permanent opportunity.

Provider duties include:

Administer acupuncture treatments, including needle acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and laser acupuncture, in accordance with established protocols and individualized patient care plans. Collaborate with the rehabilitation and integrative medicine team to ensure cohesive patient care. Conduct thorough examinations and maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Communicate treatment objectives and follow-up care recommendations to clients in a professional and compassionate manner. Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional standards of veterinary practice. Provide a high level of customer services and professional communication to clients and team members. Handle patients in a safe and stress free manner Educate and recommend products/supplements that will help the patient Add charges into Neo at the end of each acupuncture session
Requirements:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution. Active veterinary license in good standing in the state of Virginia Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) designation (Chi Institute, IVAS, or equivalent recognized certification). Minimum of 1 year of experience in veterinary acupuncture preferred. Familiarity with integrative and rehabilitative approaches to patient care is desirable. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Commitment to collaborative practice and high standards of patient care.

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
