OVERVIEW

Perfetti Van Melle - a global confectionary company and makers of great product brands such as Airheads and Mentos- is seeking an enthusiastic college student for an internship with our Erlanger Maintenance Team. This

Reliability Engineering Internship/Co-op

will be based in our Erlanger, KY facility, with an expectation to work up to 40 hours per week. This Internship is for

Summer 2026

with the possibility of extension or rotation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The

Reliability Engineering Intern/Co-op

is responsible for assisting the Maintenance team in developing next generation preventive maintenance templates, implementing new reliability programs while maximizing the productivity of our assets . This includes but is not limited to:
Contact OEM for best practices, frequencies, activities to be performed Develop templates which our technicians will follow to perform preventive maintenance including steps, pictures, references and measurements. Assist in identifying assets in our CMMS Be part of FI projects to optimize maintenance plans Develop trainings for operators/technicians Analyze equipment failure data Conduct root cause analysis Conduct maintenance process audits Establish maintenance procedures and protocols Collaborate with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspect of the organization

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Candidates must be seeking a BS/MS in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; requirements also include minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (on 4.0 scale) and a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on 4.0 scale) on engineering related courses. Ability to work full time. Ability to translate concept drawings to technical baselines High attention to detail. Data driven Goal oriented Highly motivated Proactive mindset to overcome problems Problem Solving Skills
