As a Relationship Banker at Gulf Coast Bank you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and personalized banking experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in banking, but above all, they will have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people on a personal level. This position requires a candidate who can make clients feel at ease, understand their unique financial needs, and provide tailored solutions to help them succeed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Building:
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and a client-centric approach.
+ Proactively engage with clients to understand their financial goals and identify opportunities to add value.
Financial Advisory:
+ Provide expert advice on a range of banking products and services, including loans, investments, and savings accounts.
+ Customize financial solutions based on clients' individual needs and objectives.
Customer Service Excellence:
+ Deliver an exceptional customer experience by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
+ Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through their financial journey with empathy and professionalism.
Sales and Business Development:
+ Identify opportunities to promote and cross-sell banking products to meet clients' financial needs.
+ Actively contribute to the growth of the branch and achieve individual and team sales targets.
Other:
+ Makes business development calls on businesses in the area.
+ Processes all tax related forms for all IRA accounts throughout the year including Required Minimum Distributions
Handles interest distributions for all IOLTA accounts on file monthly
Processes transactions for Public Fund accounts monthly
Maintains records for Efunds including reports
Sends interest rates to Informa Weekly
Administrator for IRS Tin-Matching and Jack Henry OnTarget, which includes setting up and deleting users and updating systems.
Backup for interest checks and notices - print checks on wed - mail daily. Mail out CD maturity notices daily.
Review and assist branches on legal documents, procedures, and signature card setup.
Performs other duties as required to keep the branch operating efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
3 years of banking experience, OR equivalent combined education and experience.
Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Strong sales skillset
Excellent interpersonal skills to represent the bank positively in interacting with customers.
Strong detailed knowledge of bank products and services
Ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop employees with positive results. strong leadership skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to operate computer terminal, teller terminal, and other standard office equipment, such as an adding machine, typewriter, fax machine or copier.
