HHCI is in search of an Assistant Program Director (APD)/Rehabilitation Specialist for its Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). This position is currently field-based and office-based.

Position Summary

:

The PRP APD provides community-based comprehensive rehabilitation and recovery services and supports. Services are designed to promote successful community integration and the use of community resources. As assigned by the PD, the APD provides clinical and administrative supervision of some functions of the PRP, and ensures that the program is operating in compliance with all of HHCI's regulators and governing bodies.

Responsibilities

:

Provide psychiatric rehabilitative services at least 5 times monthly per client Complete initial and quarterly individual rehabilitation plans Complete assessments and reassessments Conduct intake screenings for prospective clients Review, approve, and address any discrepancies with clinical documentation of direct reports, including progress notes and assessments Provide formal and informal clinical and administrative supervision to direct reports Participate in interviews with candidates for vacant positions Onboard and provide clinical training to new hires, and train existing personnel Collaborate with consented external providers, consented collateral contacts, and internal personnel regarding the treatment goals of mutually shared clients Participate in at least one internal committee as determined by the CEO Complete required trainings within established timeframes Review, approve, and address any discrepancies with timecards, and time off requests Complete personnel performance reviews Conduct chart audits as assigned by the Quality and Compliance department and APD's direct supervisor, as well as conduct unassigned chart audits Participate in the performance improvement/progressive disciplinary process Provide client coverage in the absence of direct reports, including providing direct client treatment and care, completing assessments/reassessments, and completing individual rehabilitation plans Comply with all relevant standards and regulations of HHCI, the state of Maryland's Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), The Joint Commission, HIPAA Provide client coverage within the Treatment and Recovery Services division when needed (ie. in the absence of colleagues) Perform other duties as requested by the PD

Required Qualifications

:

Associate, Bachelor, or Master's Degree in Social Work (BSW, MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Creative Arts Therapy (CAT), Counseling Psychology, Human Services, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field Licensed in the state of Maryland as a: LMSW, LGPC, LGMFT, LGPAT, LGADC, LCSW, LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT, LCPAT, or LCADC, OR Certification as a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) A minimum of 1 year of supporting the mental/behavioral health population Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access), electronic health records, and the use of computers/laptops

Preferred Qualifications

:

Strong preference for-

Experience supervising mental/behavioral health professionals Experience with the standards and policies of accrediting bodies such as The Joint Commission, or Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Experience with individuals who are diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness, and/or dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use conditions

Pay: $27.00 - $54.00 per hour
