Position Title:
Rehab Technician at OU Medical Center - Acute Care.

General Description:
Under immediate supervision of a therapist, assists in carrying out treatment plan designed by therapist and prescribed by a physician.
Essential Responsibilities:Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.Assists therapist in administering treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot and/or cold packs, supervised exercise, etc. Assists with motorized traction to relieve neck and back pain. Assists therapist with patient transfers, exercise, walking, etc. Prepares the treatment area by restocking supplies and linens, draining, and cleaning the whirlpool, setting up treatment trays, etc. Performs clerical duties such as pulling and filing patient charts.

General Responsibilities:Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to prioritize tasks. Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and staff. Basic reading, writing and math skills, Good verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools.
