We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role involves working in various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics, providing high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document medical histories.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and phlebotomy.
Utilize EMR/EHR systems for effective documentation and communication.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
Provide specialized care in areas such as critical care, pediatrics, geriatrics, or hospice & palliative medicine.
Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience in nursing with a focus on the following areas:
Critical care experience (ICU/ER)
Long-term care or assisted living
Hospital medicine or outpatient settings
Experience with patients with developmental disabilities or memory care
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge
Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner
Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding
Experience administering injections, acute pain management, or trauma medicine
Background in home care or community health settings is a plus
