Job Description

An oncology clinic in Round Rock, TX is looking to bring on a Float Registered Nurse to join their team. This person will be floating as an Infusion RN, Radiology Oncology RN, and Clinic RN. They will be responsible for facilitating clinical operations and patient care. They will need to provide professional nursing care for the safety and well-being of patients. They will need to be able to adhere to policies and procedures addressing the care outlines in infusion and nursing services and state law regulations. They will manage patients medication, know what side effects to look for, and how to appropriately collaborate with staff. This person will manage vascular access devices, evaluate progress towards goals, and make recommendations to physicians for changes based on the patients needs. As a Clinic RN, they will be responsible for answering some chat messages, helping with prescription refills, ordering labs, and answering general/clinical questions. The Clinic RN will also be responsible for processing orders, doing blood transfusion orders, Navigating Care Calls, assessing patients, and checking vital signs.
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate

Chemotherapy Infusion Experience
2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse

1+ years of experience as an Infusion RN

Past experience working in an ambulatory setting

Comfortable communicating with doctors

Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in Texas

BLS Certification
