Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-3 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of RN work experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

CHANS Home Health & Hospice is full service non-profit, Joint Commission Accredited agency providing skilled home health, hospice, and an array of community-based wellness clinics and support services in Midcoast Maine. Position Summary
  • The CHANS Home Health team wants to work with you as we care for our community in beautiful Mid Coast Maine. Are you looking to join a supportive and flexible team? CHANS Home Health and Hospice may the right fit for you! The Hospice On-Call Nurse triages and responds timely to calls between 4:30pm to 8am from patients, families, caregivers, and referral sources. The nurse assesses, utilizes critical thinking and gives advice or delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing and clinical competency. The Hospice RN On-Call position is a professional, salaried position with responsibility to operate within the framework of policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and the hospice patient\'s plan of care for the management of symptoms after business hours.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of accredited RN Program
  • Licensure/Certification: RN Licensure, State of Maine, Current CPR BLS Healthcare Provider certification, Current State of Maine Driver\'s License, Car Insurance.
  • Experience: Prior hospice nursing experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to operate a computer and/or a tablet PC.
