Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Chippenham Hospitals Level 1 Trauma Center in the MSTICU, you will provide direct nursing care to our most critical care patients. You will be a part of a dynamic 32 bed unit that focusses on a team approach to patient care. Our ICU is at the center of developing the Nurse Leaders of the future.

• You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• As a member of this team you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Our nurses serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• As a nurse on our team you will be responsible for coordinating patient\'s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree preferred.
• 1 Year of ICU Experience preferred.
• Licensed or license eligible, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginiathrough the Board of Health Professions.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Required
