Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced

Registered Nurse (RN)

to join the

Medical Surgical team

in Albuquerque, NM. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and enjoys working with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population.

This position offers consistent night shifts, flexible scheduling, and a supportive interdisciplinary team environment.

First-time travelers are welcome

with at least 24 months of overall nursing experience.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. Monitor and document patient conditions accurately using

Epic charting

. Administer medications, including

Heparin, Insulin, and PCA

. Provide respiratory and IV therapy, wound care, and management of central and peripheral lines. Respond to

rapid response team activations

when needed. Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, and other allied health teams. Float to like Med/Surg units as required.

Requirements

Active RN License

(NM or Compact State)

BLS (required)

CPI (preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical experience

Minimum 24 months total nursing experience

(first-time travelers accepted)

Patient ratio:

1:6 (Days & Nights)

Weekend Requirement:

6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period

No on-call
