Overview:

The Oklahoma Wound Care Center is the largest outpatient wound center in the Oklahoma City area. We see a wide variety of patients and their wounds. Most commonly seen is the diabetic foot ulcer, but we also treat surgical, traumatic and burn wounds. The staff play a vital role in assessing and treating simple to complex wounds. Nursing staff collaborate closely with physicians to achieve healing. The Oklahoma Wound Care Center is a busy and very fast paced clinic with 3 wound care specialized physicians, 10 exam rooms and 4 hyperbaric oxygen chambers. Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to clinic patients under the direction of the clinical supervisor.
• Working autonomously, the RNa accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients as a case manager to plan, implement, and evaluate the care for clients according to age-specific criteria.
• The RN works within the State Practice Act and follows all WCC and hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education

• RN Required

Experience

• Two years RN experience in an acute care setting preferred

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.

Compensation/Benefits

• $22.00-$35.93/hr depending on previous work experience.
