Requirements
- Required Certifications: RN & LPN: BLS and CPR (preferred to have prior to start but can obtain on assignment).
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing.
- RN: strongly preferred Charge RN experience \xe2\x80\x93 will manage \xe2\x80\x9chouse book\xe2\x80\x9d.
- Be able to do a take down and physical restraint on an agitated patient, if necessary, verbal de-escalation, group didactic skills, good communication skills.
- Team Nursing approach \xe2\x80\x93 RN will administer their own meds (injectable and PO) pass meds, evaluate care plans and note progress and documentation, admission screens, Assessments, minor wound care, EKGS (we train), glucometer, take telephone or verbal orders, acknowledge orders, vital signs, the Columbia suicide risk screen, end of shift report, log in patient belongings, screenings and discharge planning.
