Position Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg & Telemetry (Nights)

for an exciting job in

Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg and Telemetry patients in accordance with established hospital protocols. Monitor, interpret, and respond promptly to telemetry readings. Initiate and maintain IV access, draw labs, and administer prescribed medications and treatments. Perform ongoing patient assessments and report significant changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate comprehensive care. Document accurately and efficiently using

EPIC EMR

. Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards. Provide patient and family education to support recovery and well-being. Work every other weekend and two of three major holidays as scheduled. Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong clinical judgment throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

License:

Active and unrestricted

Registered Nurse (RN) License - New York State (required)

Certifications:

BLS Certification (required)

Experience:

Minimum

1.5-2 years of recent acute care experience

(within the past 2 years) in a hospital of comparable size or trauma designation

Preferred:

Experience in

Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center

and

EPIC EMR proficiency
