Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate a thorough understanding of anatomy. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from surgery or managing medical conditions, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team promptly. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care strategies tailored to individual patient needs. Educate patients and their families on health management, post-operative care, and lifestyle modifications. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse. Proven experience in a Medical/Surgical setting is preferred but not mandatory for newly qualified nurses. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
