Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. Palmdale Regional Medical Center\xe2\x80\x99s new Labor and Delivery unit \xe2\x80\x93 The Birth Place \xe2\x80\x93 is now open! The 33,000-square-foot unit features 25 private patient rooms, six labor/delivery/recovery suites and two surgical suites. The , the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as , an , featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour . Essential Job Duties:

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient C entered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times
Qualifications

Requirements:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area (BSA), circumference and volume.
• Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• One year experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor/Delivery and Nursery preferred.
• One year experience as a Registered Nurse in Post Partum, preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• California RN license.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring. Successful completion of course every two years. (Basic class within training program Intermediate or Advanced within 6 month of hire into a training program).
• NRP Successful completion of course of the AAP and AHA.
• ACLS (Within 90 days of hire into a training program).
• BLS
• STABLE
• CPI (Within 30 days of hire)
