Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our Medical & Surgical team!

Job Summary:

Do you like challenges? Hate being bored? Life moves fast on our Medical & Surgical unit, and you must be prepared to keep up with a constantly changing environment. Med/Surg Nurses provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures. They also attend to those who are being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness. Due to the broad range of medical conditions Med/Surg Nurses encounter, you\'ll quickly amass a broad base of knowledge and will be able to easily transition into other specialties, if you so desire.

Minimum Qualifications for the Job:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. BSN preferred. Completes annual educational requirements.
  • License(s): Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license. Must meet education requirement(s) for Alaska State licensure
  • Certification(s): Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificate. ACLS, PALS, TEAM and BERT
  • Experience:
  • Registered Nurse II: Advancement from RN I or a minimum of one (1) year continuous recent experience in a comparable patient care setting. Clinical competency in primary specialty and a minimum of one (1) float area required within one year of attaining RN II status.
  • Registered Nurse III: Minimum of three years (3) current clinical experience. Advancement from RN III based on BRH Clinical Nurse Advancement Program; approval of Professional Practice Review Board. Proficiency in clinical competency in primary specialty; minimum of one (1) float area.
Please note: In lieu of fringe benefits, PRN employees receive an hourly differential in addition to their hourly rate between 10% and 25% depending on position level.

Please note: In lieu of fringe benefits, casual employees receive a $2 an hour casual differential in addition to their hourly base rate of pay . Casual employees will not be scheduled to work a full time schedule for more than four (4) consecutive months or more than 780 hours annually. Casual employees must work a minimum of one (1) shift within a 90 day period to maintain status and employment.

Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
