Unit Description:
As a Surgical/Pediatric ICU Nurse you'll have the opportunity to treat patients with every type of trauma, including burns. Our 25-bed combination SICU/PICU is an exciting and vibrant unit to work on. We firmly value teamwork and our support system is strong and continuous. We have a low turnover rate, which speaks volumes about our staff and their willingness to work together for our patients.
We support continued education and highly endorse certification and membership in the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. We encourage participation in Critical Care conferences and we have many learning opportunities in the unit in the form of in-services and presentations. Our nurses also have the opportunity to advance through the Clinical Advancement and Recognition Program (CARP).
Education:
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required. ADN required, BSN preferred.
Experience:
Appropriate experience in ICU required. Greater than one year of RN experience required.
On-call: Not required.
