Responsibilities

Registered Nurse -Home Infusion Therapy (0. 75 FTE, day and evening, 10 hours shift)

RN position with Seattle Children\'s Home Infusion Team, based out of the Bothell Home Care Services location. Nurses travel to patient homes to support home infusions. You will also have a vital role in providing patient discharge education to support caregiver administration of home infusion therapies.

Home Infusion RNs provide patient and caregiver infusion-based education, direct care for central line dressing changes and lab draws, PIV placement in conjunction with administration of in-home medication infusions, and phone triage for troubleshooting infusion related questions.

Home Infusion RNs practice in an interdisciplinary team that creates individualized care plans and monitors patient progress toward goals. Care across the continuum requires Home Infusion RNs to collaborate closely with the patient and caregivers, providers, and other members of the care team.

Home Infusion RNs assist Seattle Children\'s in meeting strategic goals by incorporating processes into the daily work using techniques of continuous improvement and innovation.

On-call support for rotating weekends and holidays is required. Commute to and from Bothell, main hospital campus, regional clinics, and patient homes within the service area is required. Mileage reimbursement provided per policy. Company vehicles will be available for use.

As an important member of the Health Care Team, the RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children\'s policies/procedures and guidelines of care. oversee providing safe, family centered patient care. Using the Nursing Care Process, the RN will be assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a collaborative method with the patient and patient\'s family, significant others, and members of the health care team. will be asked to provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code. Assists in meeting Seattle Children\'s strategic goals by incorporating the processes to support the strategic plans into the daily work, i.e., Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI), Value Based Behaviors, Error Prevention, Patient Safety, Workforce Inclusion Diversity Equity and Access (IDEA) etc.
Requirements

Required Credentials:
- Current Washington State RN License, or other current state license that the RN is required to work in.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions at time of hire unless the incumbent possesses a current appropriate Life Support Education required for their practice area (refer to requirements per practice area below.) BLS must be maintained in current status until the incumbent obtains the appropriate Life Support Life Support Education required for their practice area (refer to requirements per practice area below) NOTE: Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers. ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed above. Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the position.
- Nurses working in the following areas are required to successfully obtain PEARS within 6 months of employment, and subsequently maintain at all times:
- Home Care Infusion Therapy
- Nurses working in the following areas are required to complete the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Research training within 6 months of employment, and subsequently maintain at all times while working in these areas.
- Home Care Infusion Therapy (for employees hired prior to 3/16/2021, PEARS must be obtained by December 31, 2021)

- Any position that requires use of a motor vehicle will require a current Washington State Driver\'s license.

- A valid WA State Driver\'s license, proof of automobile insurance with driving record acceptable to Risk Management.

Preferred:

- Infusion experience a plus
- Pediatric health care nursing experience.
Min to Max Hourly Salary$42.21 - $83.18 /hr

Min to Max Annual Salary$87,796.80 - $173,014.40 /yr

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children\'s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
