Registered Nurse Heart Failure Nurse Coordinator (RN).

WORK SCHEDULE

100% FTE, M - F, no weekends OR holiday shifts allowing for work life balance in the beautiful northwest community Day Shift

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center - Montlake

provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides expert nursing care to heart failure patients Systematically assesses the need for and the delivery of nursing services that meet patient care requirements, whether delivered directly or by the other nursing staff Ability to formulate, coordinate and revise an individualized plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness Provides care for individual patients over the telephone using the nursing process Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors Integrates patient and family education into the delivery of care, ensuring educational activities are culturally appropriate and are tailored to the patient's and family's ability to comprehend and participate in care Coordinates the care given by others to achieve efficient clinic operations Assumes responsibility for continued professional growth and sharing expertise with other team members

REQUIREMENTS

Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington At least 2 years of cardiac related nursing experience Current BLS

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$91,152.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$165,576.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus $1/hour BSN premium Overtime Pay Relocation Available
