Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to clients attending the adult medical day care center. The Nurse will assess clients' health conditions, administer medications, coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, and ensure compliance with all medical and regulatory guidelines. The goal is to ensure clients' well-being, health, and safety while promoting their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
? Health Assessments: Conduct initial and ongoing health assessments of clients, including vital signs, physical conditions, and mental status.
? Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on each client's needs, working closely with the interdisciplinary team.
? Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed, maintain accurate medication records, and monitor for potential side effects or reactions.
? Daily Monitoring: Monitor and document clients' conditions daily, noting any significant changes in their health status, and communicate with physicians and family members as necessary.
? Emergency Response: Provide emergency care and first aid when necessary, and ensure that emergency protocols are followed.
? Coordination with Healthcare Providers: Communicate with physicians, specialists, and external healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including coordination for lab work, tests, or follow-up care.
? Health Education: Educate clients and their families about managing chronic illnesses, medication usage, diet, and overall wellness.
? Supervision of Support Staff: Oversee the work of certified nursing assistants (CNAs) or other direct care staff, ensuring they follow care plans and assist clients appropriately.
? Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough nursing notes, medical records, care plans, and medication logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
? Compliance: Ensure that nursing services comply with all applicable regulations and standards, including HIPAA, infection control policies, and state licensure requirements.
? Staff Training: Assist in the training and education of staff regarding healthcare protocols, infection control, and emergency procedures.
? Health and Safety Monitoring: Conduct routine checks on the health and safety of the facility environment, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Pay: $42.00 - $47.00 per hour
