Pay rate: $50 - $70/hr



Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth, and demonstrate proficiency in a variety of specialized nursing areas such as critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and post-acute care. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care across diverse settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and home health environments. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing services while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Experience with advanced procedures like IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, and ventilator management is highly valued. Responsibilities



Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations. Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and medication protocols. Perform advanced procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, catheter care, tube feeding management, and ostomy care. Manage airway equipment including ventilators and assist with respiratory therapy as needed. Document all patient interactions meticulously using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as Level I & II trauma centers, ICU units (PICU), neonatal units (Neonatal ventilator), and surgical centers. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs including dementia & Alzheimer's care, behavioral health issues, pain management, and infectious disease control. Participate in discharge planning, case management, and patient education to promote optimal recovery outcomes. Maintain sterile processing standards during procedures requiring aseptic technique; ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory testing (phlebotomy), medical imaging (sonography), and specimen collection/processing. Support patients across the lifespan--from neonatal to geriatric--delivering age-specific nursing interventions in various settings such as assisted living or home & community care environments.

Qualifications



Valid RN license in the state of practice with current CPR/BLS certification. Extensive clinical experience in diverse healthcare settings including hospital medicine, emergency room (ER) experience, ICU/trauma centers (Level I & II), outpatient clinics, or post-acute care facilities. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pharmacology related to medication administration and pain management. Experience performing complex procedures like suturing, IV infusion/insertion, catheterization (including Foley & PICC lines), gastrostomy tube feeding, spinal tap procedures. Ability to work effectively with patients with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in geriatrics or dementia/dementia care is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile processing techniques essential for maintaining patient safety standards. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments such as trauma centers or emergency departments is required.
