OPA Behavioral Health

is looking for Masters level Registered Therapist Intern (RMHCI, RCSWI, RMFTI) to provide psychotherapy services to adults and children in the

Central Florida

area via Telehealth and some in-office (Ocoee, FL). This is an Independent Contractor/ Fee for Service job (1099). Bilingual (Spanish/English) is PREFERRED for this job position, and at least 1 year of counseling experience is required. Candidate also needs to be

Registered in the state of Florida.

Job duties and requirements:

Complete individualized and comprehensive Intake and Biopsychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Provide individual and/or family counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. Provide evidence-based interventions based on clinical mental health diagnoses and best practices. Maintain quality and timely clinical documentation according to Medicaid guidelines. Development of Treatment Plan of care utilizing appropriate modalities. Ability to engage families and provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention. Required to have own desktop/laptop (password-protected). Required to have adequate and reliable internet connection. Have excellent typing skills, with adequate grammar and punctuation for superb documentation. Know how to efficiently conduct Telehealth therapy sessions and utilizing EHR system(s). Required to abide by all Telehealth guidelines to adequately maintain HIPAA compliance. Be FARS/CFARS certified. Have Professional Liability Insurance. A background check will be applied. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Registered in Florida

(Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, or Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, or Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern)

is required.

Personal traits:

Clinician must have a friendly personality, pleasant attitude, and present excellent communication skills (including adequate tone of voice, professional body language, respectful demeanor, assertive eye contact, welcoming greeting and engaging skills). Clinician must be polished and have a professional appearance and demeanor. Clinician must have adequate lighting and camera with sharp visibility when conducting Telehealth services to patients. A high level of patience and compassion is required towards the patients we serve. This includes the ability to problem solve and help verbally de-escalate those in need. Empathy, caring, and resiliency are key factors to be successful in this role. Superb Emotional Intelligence: The ability to perceive/manage/express one's emotions, and to recognize and react appropriately to the emotions of others (patients, peers, upper management). Being self-aware, self-confident, and open-minded to receive supportive and constructive feedback. Willingness to go above and beyond his or her job description to make patients happy. The ideal candidate is a team player, getting along well and communicating well with all colleagues, team members, and Management.
~Compensation is negotiable based on skills and experience. Starting $33/hour.
