Sodexo is seeking a fulltime Registered Dietitian 2 for Asbury Methodist Village, a Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Asbury Methodist Village is among the 15-largest continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) in the country. With 134 beautiful acres, our campus is a certified arboretum and includes a 17-acre Wildlife Preserve. It\xe2\x80\x99s a rural oasis with the conveniences of an urban setting. As part of the not-for-profit Asbury organization, Asbury Methodist Village offers senior independent living options such as Courtyard Homes, Villas, and spacious senior apartments, as well as assisted living, memory support, and quality skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapy.

This position will work in the Wilson Health Care Center with another Registered Dietitian and the Clinical Nutrition Manager to provide nutrition care to our residents. This is an exciting opportunity to join Sodexo\'s talented team of Senior Living dietitians!

The successful candidate will:

• provide nutritional care primarily to residents in our rehab/transitional care unit;
• work closey with our clinical interdisciplinary team;
• meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
• be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences; and/or
• represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff.

• a Registered Dietitian credential and are licensed to practice in MD;
• strong verbal and written communication skills;
• strong leadership skills;
• the ability and desire to work in a senior living community as a clinical dietitian;
• the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff; and/or
• excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors to make every day a better day for our residents.

Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services
Key Duties
-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments. Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor\'s Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
