We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with experience dentistry. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) Manage patient records, including medical documentation and maintaining HIPAA compliance. Be familiar with dental software like Softdent for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Provide chairside assistance during various procedures including endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and general dentistry. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed, including answering phones and scheduling appointments. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and ready for use.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental clinic setting at least 1 year Proficient in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and medical terminology. Experience with Itero scanners is advantageous but not required Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Be energetic and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be organized, reliable, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
