We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral therapy services. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans. This role requires a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and patient care principles. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving clients' quality of life through evidence-based interventions and compassionate support.
Duties
Implement behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles under supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions accurately and consistently
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence
Support clients in developing communication, social, and life skills through teaching strategies tailored to individual needs
Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in treatment approaches
Monitor client safety during sessions and manage behavior using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
Adhere to all ethical standards related to patient care, confidentiality, and medical terminology
Experience
Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies
Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing teaching methods for skill development
Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records, care plans, and HIPAA compliance is a plus
Background in special education or behavioral health fields is advantageous
Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and team members
Ability to collect accurate data and maintain detailed records for progress tracking
