Job Summary

The In-Home ABA Therapist provides one-on-one behavioral therapy services to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of a BCBA, the therapist implements individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to improve communication, social, and daily living skills, while reducing challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver ABA therapy sessions in the client's home or community settings. Implement individualized treatment and behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA. Collect and record accurate data on client progress during each session. Use reinforcement strategies and behavioral techniques (e.g., prompting, shaping, task analysis) according to ABA principles. Communicate regularly with parents or caregivers regarding progress and strategies for generalizing skills. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to ensure fidelity of program implementation. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times. Assist with program modifications as directed by the BCBA based on data analysis.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred).

Work Environment

Therapy takes place primarily in the client's home and occasionally in community settings (e.g., parks, stores). May require sitting, standing, kneeling, or engaging in physical play for extended periods. Flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends, depending on family needs. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain within 3-6 months of hire. Prior experience working with children, especially those with ASD, preferred. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to clients' homes. Ability to lift or move small children as needed during therapy sessions.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
