Responsibilities



Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors. Collect accurate and detailed data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to support their independence and daily functioning. Use effective behavior management techniques to reinforce desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors in a compassionate manner. Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching new skills across areas such as communication, social interaction, and self-care within a structured setting. Maintain thorough medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare standards. Collaborate with team members--including supervisors, educators, and caregivers--to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, medical terminology, and special education strategies to enhance your professional expertise.

Requirements



Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred; enthusiasm for teaching and supporting growth is essential. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies. Ability to assist clients with ADLs while demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. Strong data collection skills to accurately track progress and inform treatment decisions. Familiarity with medical records management, medical documentation standards, and basic medical terminology is advantageous. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members, clients, and families. A valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire; ongoing training opportunities available for professional development. Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
