Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by supporting their growth, independence, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral therapy, working with children, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). A strong understanding of medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and behavior management strategies is essential. This position is paid and offers valuable hands-on experience in the field of special education and behavioral health.

Responsibilities



Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, and feeding Support clients during teaching sessions focused on communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors Use behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Prepare documentation for medical records, progress notes, and care plans in compliance with organizational standards Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment approaches Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral therapy, medical terminology, and data collection methods

Experience



Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and special education practices is highly desirable Experience assisting with ADLs and providing patient care in a clinical or educational setting is a plus Familiarity with medical documentation, medical terminology, and maintaining accurate medical records is beneficial Strong communication skills and patience are essential for working effectively with clients, families, and team members Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification is required or encouraged for applicants interested in growth within the field

Pay: $23.31 - $28.08 per hour
