Summary of Job Duties: The Regional Program Associate is responsible for the oversight and implementation of policy, system, and environmental (PSE) changes in specific Arkansas counties in accordance with HOP guidelines, specifically healthy food access, safe active transportation, and breastfeeding standards in Early Childcare Centers. This is a term appointment to last 5 years \xe2\x80\x93 October 1, 2023 through September 29, 2028, and will be funded through a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) cooperative agreement focusing on high obesity. Continued employment is contingent upon annual funding.

Health Equity: Implement, monitor, and coordinate initiatives critical to achieving measurable outcomes for achieving health equity in relation to program goals and objectives within target populations.

Partnership & Coalition Building: Coordinate community engagement efforts to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help drive PSE changes. Ensure multi-sectoral collaborations have access to the resources and data they need to address the underlying root causes of health inequity. Serve as the liaison between local communities and State Office personnel.

Needs Assessments: Plan County needs and walkability assessments drilled down to zip code or census tract. Obtain and identify primary and secondary data sources and existing policies to analyze the factors contributing to the factors that influence health.

Program Planning and Implementation: Engage community partners and priority populations in the planning process to determine interventions centered around PSE (policy, system, and environments). Lead education and community awareness campaigns, pop-up events, and permanent implementation strategies.

Evaluation: Assist and support evaluation efforts at the community level, including collecting surveys and conducting interviews.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field (public health, community health promotion, nutrition, education, etc.) plus three (3) years of relevant professional experience OR a related Master\'s degree is required.

Preferred qualifications:
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field (public health, community health promotion, nutrition, education, etc.). Professional experience working with community organizations, community members, underserved populations, and local governments.
