Regional Market Manager | Northeastern Wisconsin

Wisconsin, United States

Job Description

Regional Market Manager | Northeastern Wisconsin
A regional, full-service commercial bank with branches across Wisconsin and Michigan is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Regional Market Manager to oversee six branches in Northeastern Wisconsin (30 staff, including five direct Branch Manager reports). This pivotal role shapes the future of the bank's retail network, which offers commercial banking, residential mortgage, and trust & wealth management services.
The Regional Market Manager will lead a high-performing team of Banking Office Managers, Personal Bankers, Universal Bankers, and Customer Service Representatives, driving customer service excellence, sales growth, and operational performance. Your mission: build a consistent sales-and-service culture, grow deposits and market share, develop strong leaders, and enhance customer experience through community engagement and small-business development.
Earlier this year, the bank launched its Haberfeld relationship-based sales system. The Regional Market Manager will coach to this system-embedding accountability, structure, and energy across the network. This hands-on, in-office role involves frequent travel and active community involvement. Make a difference by building strong relationships and helping your team serve the financial needs of individuals, families, and businesses.
The ideal candidate is a visionary, people-focused leader who thrives on developing talent, strengthening client relationships, and driving market growth. Comfort with the Northern Wisconsin lifestyle-including rural amenities and winter climate-is important, as is a long-term mindset, ideal for a leader looking to make a lasting regional impact.
Responsibilities:
Lead and Develop Teams
Direct, mentor, and support Branch Managers and staff to achieve high performance and align with strategic goals
Establish a consistent leadership cadence-regular 1:1s, field coaching, and team huddles-to promote accountability and engagement
Partner with HR on hiring, professional development, and succession planning
Drive Sales and Market Growth
Reinforce the Haberfeld sales methodology, ensuring consistent adoption of the relationship-based approach
Deepen customer relationships, lead small-business acquisition, and collaborate with Business Banking and Treasury Management partners on commercial opportunities
Monitor sales activity, pipeline metrics, and branch performance to drive sustainable growth across all offices
Ensure Customer Service Excellence
Champion a customer-first mindset that elevates the overall experience and strengthens loyalty
Resolve escalated client concerns promptly and professionally
Focus on key customer-experience measures such as NPS, mystery-shop results, and complaint reduction
Manage Operations and Compliance
Oversee regional branch operations to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Partner with Branch Operations to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and maintain strong audit and compliance performance
Provide Strategic and Community Leadership
Serve as a visible community ambassador, engaging in local chambers, civic groups, and community events
Reinforce the bank's mission and values through authentic, relationship-based leadership and service
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred, not required; equivalent banking and leadership experience considered
5+ years in Retail or Deposit Banking
3+ years in a management or multi-branch leadership role
Proven success building sales-and-service cultures and leading through influence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of motivating teams and building customer relationships
Demonstrated success driving small-business growth and community engagement
Self-motivated, assertive, and able to multitask effectively
Willing and able to travel
Compensation for this role includes a base salary in the range of 70-90K USD, with the final amount based on experience, credentials, and overall qualifications. The position also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) with company match, dental, health, vision, and life insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), flexible spending and health savings accounts, paid time off, an employee referral program, and an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan).
