Position Overview:
The
Regional Facilities & Asset Manager
is responsible for overseeing the physical assets, maintenance operations, and capital improvement projects across a portfolio of approximately 1,000 multifamily units in Tucson. This position ensures that all properties are safe, well-maintained, compliant, and aligned with ownership's asset preservation and improvement goals.
This role works closely with on-site managers, maintenance teams, and vendors to manage capital expenditures, evaluate building systems, and implement efficiency and quality standards across multiple properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day facilities operations for multiple apartment communities.
Evaluate property conditions, building systems, and deferred maintenance needs.
Develop, budget, and manage
CapEx projects
including roofs, plumbing, HVAC, decks, asphalt, paint, and common-area renovations.
Coordinate and supervise outside contractors, engineers, and construction consultants.
Maintain and track capital plans, bids, and project timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
Support property managers in preventative maintenance programs and vendor oversight.
Prepare condition reports and recommendations for ownership on asset improvement priorities.
Review invoices and proposals to ensure accuracy, competitive pricing, and value.
Enforce safety standards and compliance with local codes and regulations.
Partner with accounting and corporate teams on capital tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in
multifamily property maintenance, facilities management, or construction project management.
Strong understanding of building systems, site infrastructure, and common-area repairs.
Proven track record managing CapEx projects from scope development through completion.
Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
Proficiency in project tracking and budgeting tools (Excel, Yardi, or equivalent).
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties within the Tucson area.
