This position is for the Dallas, TX office only* Manage and assist in hiring, training, and mentoring the detailing team within the region.
Oversee project schedules to ensure timely submission of drawings.
Oversee the detailing of projects for accuracy and conformance to standards.
Produce 3D model, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection drawings.
Analyze and select appropriate steel member connections for projects
Submit requests for information (RFIs) to customers
Provide final checks of drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents
Reports to Technical Services Director
Requirements 10 years of steel detailing and managing people required.
Proven ability to lead a project team and oversight required.
Strong computer skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Exceptional time management and prioritization skills required.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment required
Associate degree in drafting or similar education
Experience with Tekla and/or 3D modeling software.
Knowledge of current building codes and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and contract specifications.
Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
