This position specializes in the coordination of case travel arrangements for refugees resettling within the USCCB affiliate network. The Transportation Specialist ensures all travel bookings are accurate in USCCB\xe2\x80\x99s database and coordinates with IOM and USCCB\xe2\x80\x99s affiliate network regarding last minute travel changes. The position also provides programmatic and administrative support to USCCB\xe2\x80\x99s processing team. The position interfaces with USCCB pre-arrival staff, USCCB affiliates, national Resettlement Agencies, overseas Resettlement Support Centers, and IOM to resolve problems as necessary. The position is also responsible for supporting the programmatic and administrative functions of the Processing Operations segment. Contributes to the Bishops\xe2\x80\x99 strategic plan for the Conference. Monitor all incoming and outgoing MiMoSA and MRIS database interface transmissions regarding transportation and resolve related problems working across MRS segments with IT and others as needed
Coordinate arrival and follow-up data between IOM and affiliates
Respond to emergencies and special needs
Handle urgent issues related to arrivals including deletions/no-shows, flight changes, medical situations, etc.
Inform IOM and/or other concerned resettlement agencies of any changes and/or case transfers
Respond to USCCB affiliates regarding arrival inquiries
Work with IOM daily submission list to conduct daily QC of all reported refugee travel interfaces
Resolve all refugee travel cases that are missed through the interface, working with IOM and affiliates
Processing Operations Office Coordination and Support
Coordinates with MRIS database liaisons, resettlement services database liaisons and IT developers as necessary; supports the Processing Operations (PO) Segment in rollout of new database
Ability to record structured meeting notes
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to work both as a part of a team and independently with high degree of accuracy and without immediate and constant supervision
