Job Description


:

This individual will help organize, coordinate and carry out human resource department projects, processes and development for the organization, while maintaining a positive work environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain balance between company policies and procedures and employee suggestions/concerns
  • Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface or are brought to your attention
  • Organize, maintain and update employee HRIS information as needed
  • Post open positions on the employee board
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Help with new-hire procedures: including job postings, organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons
  • Make sure all health and safety regulations are followed
  • Maintain compliance with all federal and state employment laws
  • Maintain compliance with FMLA
  • Worker\'s Compensation, (documentation, filing, monitoring)
  • Maintain accident register, incident/injury register
  • Prepare and update job descriptions
  • Maintain Employee Handbook, Driver Information Packet, and Warehousing Information packet
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • 5 plus years of relevant experience in human resources
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Suite
  • Experience using HR software and HRIS databases
  • Admin and coordinator experience
  • Highly organized and efficient; skilled at multi-tasking
  • Professional integrity and sense of responsiveness and accountability
  • Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed
  • HR competence and knowledge of HR processes and computer programs
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Represent the Company and employees in a professional manner
