About the Role





The Recruiter (Field Recruitment & Training) plays a pivotal role in ensuring VFS field programs are fully staffed, well-onboarded, and equipped to succeed. This role leads recruitment operations across the state--managing the full hiring lifecycle, supporting onboarding and training, and partnering with Field leadership to hit staffing goals by office. This position also supports the development and delivery of training materials and programming that strengthens employee readiness and performance in the field.



This role must possess an Arizona driver's license and have daily access to a reliable automobile. In-state travel is required.

Field programs are staffed on time with qualified candidates who reflect the communities we serve.


Hiring pipelines are active, organized, and responsive to campaign needs.

New hires are successfully onboarded, trained, and set up with tools and support to perform.
Recruitment goals are clear by office and progress is tracked consistently and accurately.


Key Responsibilities




Recruitment Leadership & Hiring




Lead and support a team of

4-7 Talent Recruiters

across the state during campaign cycles. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including

sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and pre-boarding

. Partner with the

Statewide and Deputy Field Directors

to set recruitment goals by office and adjust strategies as needs change.
Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies tailored to grassroots work, including organizing and hosting recruitment events in community settings.
Ensure consistent candidate experience, timely communication, and smooth hiring workflows.


Onboarding & Training




Develop and implement onboarding processes that help new hires ramp up quickly and confidently.


Create training materials and deliver engaging training (virtual and in-person) to strengthen readiness and performance.
Ensure new employees have the resources, information, and support needed to be successful in their roles.


Operations, Tracking, and Communication




Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking documents and recruitment metrics in coordination with HR/Operations teams.


Attend required meetings and maintain organized work logs and documentation.

Support campaign hiring management needs, including rapid scaling during peak recruitment periods.
Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications




Arizona driver's license

and

reliable transportation

available daily; ability to travel in-state regularly. Ability to work flexible and irregular hours as needed; ability to stand/walk for

at least 5 hours

at a time.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; comfort engaging people in community settings.

Ability to develop and deliver engaging training and facilitate groups.

Demonstrated positive, enthusiastic, and solutions-oriented approach.

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Prior experience working on a campaign or canvassing in the field for at least

one full cycle

. Strong public speaking skills and comfort presenting to groups.


Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)




Bilingual proficiency preferred, especially

Spanish

.
Forward-thinking, adaptable, and "go-getter" approach in fast-paced campaign environments.

Strategic mindset with experience supporting campaign activity planning.
Experience leading or managing a team (ideally

5+ staff

).


Work Environment & Expectations





This position involves frequent travel throughout Arizona, evening/weekend work during high-volume hiring periods, and regular work in community spaces. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, people-centered environment and can balance urgency with excellent organization and follow-through.
