Sand Haulers of America (SHOA) provides owners/operators the chance to manage their own schedule and haul routes across Texas and Oklahoma. The company has built a network of drivers and is continually adding to their driver roster through aggressive recruiting with a full staff of driver advocates that assist drivers in matching them with the best options.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiters are essential in helping organizations build strong teams and achieve their business objectives by identifying and hiring the right talent. The essential job functions of a Recruiter include:
Develop and maintain a talent pipeline of qualified Carriers or Drivers for current and future hiring needs.
Review Carrier or Driver documents and applications to assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and experience.
Conduct initial phone screenings and interview to evaluate Owner/Driver suitability for the role.
Coordinate orientations for Carriers or Drivers with the Company Yard Manager.
Provide Carriers or Drivers with necessary information about the company and the orientation process.
Ensure a positive driver experience throughout the recruitment process.
Assist with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system.
Generate recruitment reports and metrics to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
Stay up-to-date with company requirements and policies for incoming drivers.
Promote diversity and inclusion in the hiring process.
Contribute to building and maintaining a positive employer brand to attract top Carriers or Drivers.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in a similar industry or role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
Team player and the ability to collaborate effectively with hiring managers and colleagues.
