Duties



Perform comprehensive diagnostics on RV systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), and diesel engines using automotive diagnostics tools. Repair and maintain various RV components such as transmissions, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, tires, alignments, air brakes, and wheel assemblies. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, fluid checks, tire services, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems, wiring harnesses, soldering connections, and electronic modules. Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, assemble, repair, or replace parts with precision and safety in mind. Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components safely during repairs or maintenance procedures. Diagnose complex issues related to automotive electrical systems or engine performance using advanced automotive diagnostics equipment. Execute specialized repairs such as welding or equipment repair when necessary to restore vehicle integrity. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to enhance vehicle longevity. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist in inventory management by ordering parts or supplies needed for repairs while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications



Proven experience working as a dealership service technician or in an automotive repair environment with a focus on recreational vehicles preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including transmissions, suspensions, HVAC systems, brakes, and diesel engines. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems--wiring repairs, soldering connections--and diagnostics tools is essential. Familiarity with automotive repair procedures such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, air brake systems, shocks & struts replacement. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks efficiently. Knowledge of plumbing systems within RVs along with basic auto body repair skills is advantageous. Experience with welding or equipment repair is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various environments; comfort working on multiple vehicle types daily. Valid certifications related to automotive repair or diesel engine repair are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards. Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week
