Recreation Services Manager

The City of Warrensburg is accepting applications for a full-time Recreation Services Manager with the Parks & Recreation Department. Starting wage at $21.63 per hour or $45,000 annually, plus employee benefit package. Minimum Requirements: Associate College Degree, and, or 3 years and above in Recreation Management or related field. Experience with money handling, accounting process, bill payment and supervision of employees. Must possess a valid Driver's License. On call, after-hours and weekend duty within a 40-hour week is required.

The Recreation Services Manager is responsible for leading all customer service operations within the Parks and Recreation Department, including front desk operations at the Warrensburg Community Center (WCC) and Nassif Aquatic Center. This position supervises front desk staff, building supervisors, and part-time support personnel to ensure exceptional service, operational efficiency, and a welcoming experience for all facility users. The Recreation Services Manager establishes clear expectations, structure, and accountability for their team while fostering a positive work environment. Additionally, the role supports sustainable operational growth by implementing efficient procedures, identifying service improvements, and supporting long-term resource management.
