The Recreation Programming Intern provides hands-on support to the Programming staff in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a wide variety of recreational programs, leagues, and special events. This internship offers practical experience in community recreation operations, customer service, event coordination, and program management within a fast-paced, public-facing environment.
This is a temporary, part-time non-benefited position. This position will run from May to August, approximately 40 hours per week.
Experience and Skills:
Required Experience:
Interest in recreation programming, community engagement, or event planning Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Comfortable working with the public, including children and adults Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Minimum Age Requirement:
Individual must be at least 18 years of age
Education Requirement:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program related to Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred)
