Job Description

The City of Hibbing is seeking a motivated and community-focused Full-Time Recreation Programmer to plan, coordinate, promote, and deliver a wide variety of recreation programs, camps, leagues, and special events for youth through adults. This position plays a key role in fostering community engagement by developing safe, inclusive, and high-quality recreational opportunities that meet the diverse needs of residents. The Recreation Programmer also supports the effective operation and maintenance of City recreation facilities while working collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance the overall quality of life in Hibbing.

Qualifications:

Four-year degree in recreation, education, or related field or three (3) years professional recreation experience to include leading a variety of recreational activities, special events as primary responsibilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to obtain and maintain a First Aid/CPR certification within six months of hire. Valid Class MN "D" Driver's License.

Pay: $31.67 - $34.31 per hour
