About Us:

West Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a dedicated Recreation Aide to join our team and help enhance the well-being of our residents through engaging and therapeutic activities.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational programs to meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of our residents. Lead and facilitate daily activities, such as group games, arts and crafts, musical activities, and social gatherings. Encourage and support residents' participation in activities that promote social connection, mental engagement, and enjoyment. Collaborate with the Recreation Director to assess and tailor activities to suit the interests and needs of our residents. Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and feedback on activities. Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment.

Qualifications:

Experience in a similar role, particularly within a nursing home or long-term care setting, is preferred. A genuine passion for working with residents to enhance their quality of life. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Creativity and enthusiasm in planning and conducting activities.
