Job Description

This position is responsible for providing surgical procurement and preservation of human eye tissue for transplantation, education, and research. All responsibilities are performed in compliance with ASN's policies and procedures and in compliance with EBAA and FDA regulations. This position is also responsible for packing and shipping tissue for transplantation.



Qualifications:

An associate's degree in a related field preferred. Ability to interact with peers and hospital personnel on assignments. Excellent communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness to work weekends/evenings to complete tasks. This position may require Saturday and/or Sunday work and requires rotating holiday schedule to be worked.

Physical Requirements:


Ability to travel throughout the service area as required. Driving for extended periods or long distances may be required. Frequent periods of intense concentration necessitating attention to detail, and accuracy. Ability to handle mental and physical strain involved in the use of printed materials and prolonged computer screen use. Moderate manual dexterity for basic keyboarding. Long periods of sitting and/or standing may be required. * Ability to push/pull up to 350 pounds with assistance.
