Job Description

Phase 1 Recovery is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Repossession Agent. As a Repossession Agent, you will be responsible for locating and recovering vehicles or other assets for our clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism. Preferred qualifications for this position include familiarity with up-to-date repossession software and possession of a current CARS certification, though these are not mandatory. The roles will involve a combination of daytime, nighttime, and weekend shifts. We are flexible and dedicated to collaborating with you to devise a schedule that benefits both you and Phase 1 Recovery.

Responsibilities:

Asset Location and Recovery:

- Utilize various tools and resources to locate and recover assets, primarily vehicles.

- Conduct thorough investigations to determine the whereabouts of the subject assets.

- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, skip tracers, and other professionals to gather information.

Legal Compliance:

- Ensure that all repossessions are carried out in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.

- Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry standards related to repossession activities.

Communication and Negotiation:

- Communicate effectively with debtors, clients, and other parties involved in the repossession process.

- Employ effective negotiation techniques to secure the voluntary surrender of assets when possible.

Documentation:

- Complete detailed and accurate reports of all repossession activities.

- Maintain proper documentation of all communication, actions taken, and information gathered during the repossession process.

Equipment and Technology:

- Utilize and maintain repo equipment, including tow trucks, communication devices, and tracking tools.

- Stay up-to-date on technological advancements in the repossession field.

Safety and Ethical Practices:

- Adhere to safety protocols during asset recovery operations.

- Uphold ethical standards in all interactions and activities related to repossession.

Qualifications & Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent

-At least 23 years of age with a clean driving history

-Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

- Previous experience in repossession, towing, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.

- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing repossession activities.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.

- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.

- Familiarity with repo equipment and technology.

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).

- Physical fitness and agility for towing and recovery activities.

- Willingness to work irregular hours and weekends as needed.
