Job Description

The Records Technician II supports the development, integration and execution of BBNC's Records and Information Management (RIM) program. The Records Technician II will report to BBNC's Records Manager and work closely with the Records Technician I. This position will assist with the identification, control, production, inventory, distribution, storage and retrieval of all records data in accordance with BBNC's RIM procedures.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Serves as BBNC Records Coordinator/Analyst for BBNC and its departments. Assists with identifying records, appropriately collecting, boxing and moving documents to the RIM department, classifying and inventory records, and performing quality control of inventoried records. Assists BBNC's departments in preparing boxes for transfer and storage which may include physically lifting material. Prepare and provide training to departments and other subsidiary record coordinators about BBNC's RIM policies and procedures Provide support and assistance to Records Coordinators within BBNC Subsidiaries. Performs file maintenance, database input, document preparation and microfilm and imaging duties in accordance with Corporation Records Management policies and procedures. Performs various clerical duties required to update the appropriate logs, databases, and indexes. Performs hardcopy document preparation services for microfilming and scanning. Provides regular operational reports and periodic updates to BBNC Records Manager. Works with Records Manager to delegate and assign tasks to Records Tech I. Performs other duties as assigned.





Skills and Abilities:


Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to produce written reports. Must work well with others and communicate effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters. Orientation to quality; high attention to detail. Ability to work independently, extremely detail oriented, and follow policy and procedures. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Skill in operating and maintaining micrographic and imaging equipment. Able to effectively use personal computers. Must be punctual, dependable and responsive to requests; BBNC's normal business hours are from 8-5.
Minimum Qualifications:



High school graduate, general equivalency diploma (G.E.D) or the equivalent.


One to two (1-2) years' experience performing identification, control, production, inventorying, distribution, storage and retrieval of records data.


Knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point.



Knowledge and experience with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) policies, practices and regulations (preferred)



Experience with Records Management Inventorying software (preferred).
