Position Summary / Purpose
At True North Restoration Hawaii Inc., we recognize that rebuilding after loss is about more than just construction--it's about restoring confidence and peace of mind for our clients. The Reconstruction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing residential and commercial reconstruction projects from contract to completion.
This role oversees all elements of reconstruction operations, managing trades, schedules, budgets, and communication to ensure client satisfaction and project profitability.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of reconstruction jobs from initial planning through final completion
Develop project timelines and schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal resources
Maintain communication with customers throughout the project, providing updates and managing expectations
Order and track materials, permits, and inspections as required
Conduct site visits to monitor work quality, safety, and schedule adherence
Prepare and manage scopes of work, budgets, and change orders
Ensure all documentation, including contracts, estimates, and payment authorizations, is accurate and complete
Collaborate with mitigation team and administration to ensure seamless project transition and client experience
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in job cost reviews and final project close-out procedures
Perform hands-on reconstruction tasks as needed to train or support the division
Support estimating team by reviewing and approving Xactimate estimates
Assist with collection efforts and customer follow-up as needed
Attend team and contractor meetings to coordinate project planning

Decision Rights and Authority
Approve subcontractor selection and schedule coordination
Manage project budgets and change orders within authority thresholds
Resolve client concerns and jobsite conflicts, while working within hourly employee guidelines
Working Relationships and Scope
Reports to the General Manager/Operations Manager
Coordinates with administrative, mitigation, and estimating teams
Interfaces with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven ability to perform physical construction labor, including demolition, framing, finish work, and jobsite repairs
High School diploma or GED required; construction management degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in residential or commercial reconstruction
Strong working knowledge of building codes, permitting, and construction sequencing
Proficiency with Xactimate, scheduling tools, and project management platforms
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and scopes
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $33.17 - $39.95 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
