Part-Time Podiatric Medical Assistant/Front office Float

We train medical professionals to become Podiatry Medical Assistants/receptionists. Since we are highly specialized practice, extensive training is provided. What is needed is a desire to provide great patient care, excellent customer service and develop new skills. Some medical background is required through experience or schooling. This is a great opportunity for individuals that desire enhanced professional development in the health care field as our doctor and medical staff treat patients with a wide range of conditions from wounds to fractures to diabetic foot care and surgery.

Podiatry office looking for a dependable, and upbeat team player. This position is part-time and duties would range from:

Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly manner. Complete the appointment check-in process with patients, ensuring all required documents are completed and scanned into the patient chart. Assist in answering telephone calls. Call patients to schedule and confirm appointments. Schedule appointments from incoming referrals. Collect payments from patients. Verification of insurances and benefits Provide patients an explanation of their insurance coverage before their visit. Ensure the check-in desk and lobby are clean and presentable. Perform administrative duties as assigned. Bring patients to the treatment room. Collect & enter medical history, vital signs, medications, and allergies into EMR system. Stock and clean treatment rooms. Sterilizing instruments. Taking X-rays Prepping patients Assisting physician in the exam rooms

Pay: $17.00 per hour
