: Receiving Associate




Reports to: Facilities Operations & Warehouse Logistics Manager


Hours: 40 + Hours with seasonal fluctuation


LOCATION: Moscow

General




The Receiving Clerk works in partnership with the Receiving Department Manager and Warehouse Sales Team to process all incoming freight. The position requires the use of a forklift and the day to day tasks will include unloading trucks; quantification, quality assessment and checking-in of all products; logging and tagging of all special orders; distribution of stock product to sales areas; keeping up with the overall organization and tidiness of the entire receiving department.

Primary Responsibilities



Accurate & timely processing of all incoming freight Work directly with retail staff, Warehouse staff, and Buyers, Accounts Payables and Claims to ensure a smooth delivery of freight into the facility Identify problems and take appropriate action as necessary when offloading freight Processing and storage of all special orders Keeps all team members including receiving department, buyers and claims informed of any and all problems, such as damaged product, late deliveries or other errors Coordinate with lead warehouse staff to facilitate quick and efficient movement and stocking of commodity freight

Additional Responsibilities



Assist Receiving Manager when primary duties are fulfilled May take part in inventory and counting of special order and commodity goods Ability to act as a backup to the Receiving Manager as needed Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job

Shared Responsibilities




It is the responsibility of all members of Receiving to distribute tasks and balance the daily workflow. This includes incoming deliveries from all carriers and vendors. In the event a member of your team is out for the day or on vacation, it becomes your responsibility to prioritize the workflow of the day. This includes:

Working with Warehouse staff to stage and unload shipments Processing of "HOT" shipments such as Huber Staging of all special orders Moving product to the floor or final stock staging location Must maintain a clean and well organized receiving bay

Qualifications



Punctuality and reliability are an absolute must Great attention to accuracy and detail is also a must Ability to work calmly under pressure Must have an ability to work well in groups and with others Must be able to demonstrate understanding of basic business math as it relates to margins, profitability and shrinkage/loss Must have previous experience with retail inventory control systems Ability to read, write and comprehend written instructions and numbering Basic arithmetic skills Must be able to work outside during all seasons Must be able to drive a forklift, willing to train if not Must be capable of occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with building products commonly found in the LBM industry Well-groomed and neat appearance Goal oriented team player

Workplace Environment



Will work in a sometimes dirty office environment frequently exposed to seasonal changes in temperature Will be expected to work outdoors frequently, and will be exposed to the elements

Minimum Qualifications




High School Degree or Equivalent


Pass a Drug Test


Pass a Background Check


Be able to work a flexible schedule
