Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Receiver to join our dynamic fish production team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently receiving/storing/packing and managing fresh fish and incoming shipments, ensuring accurate stock intake, and maintaining seamless warehouse operations. Your energetic approach will help keep our production center running smoothly, supporting timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Duties

Receive and inspect fresh fish from our local auction, as well as all inbound shipments, verifying quantities and condition of all products Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment Accurately document all received items Stock received products in designated cooler/freezer locations, ensuring proper organization for easy retrieval Prepare items for order picking by assembling pallets and packaging products according to specifications Assist with order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing shipments for dispatch Ensure all shipping and receiving procedures comply with safety standards and company policies Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area to promote a safe working environment Support inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize distribution processes and improve overall efficiency

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or related roles with a focus on inventory management, not required - but helpful Valid forklift certification; experience operating pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment required Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately Strong understanding of order picking & packing processes within a distribution setting Ability to load & unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and inventory control Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
