Job Description

Davidson Center is seeking a dedicated reading tutor with training/certification in the Orton-Gillingham approach to provide individualized literacy instruction to students with dyslexia and other reading challenges. This part-time position is ideal for an educator who values evidence-based instruction and a supportive, student-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 reading intervention sessions using the Orton-Gillingham approach. Assess student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs. Collaborate with other tutors and staff to support overall literacy development. Maintain accurate session notes and communicate regularly with families.

Qualifications:

Orton-Gillingham training or certification required (Classroom Educator, Associate, or higher). Experience working with students with dyslexia or language-based learning differences preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education, or a related field.

Pay: $30.00 - $33.75 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 12 per week
