Job Description

The Noble Research Institute, LLC is accepting applications for an internship in Ranch Management on our Noble ranches. This is a temporary position to begin

mid-January and last for up to six months

.



The successful internship candidate will have the opportunity to enhance their career in agriculture by providing practical real-life experiences in a regenerative ranching environment.


Anticipated duration:

Mid-January to end of June.


Program Housing:

The Institute will provide accommodation for any out-of-area intern.


Hourly Rate:

$15.50 per hour. Per rules set forth by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), housing that is provided by the Institute is considered a taxable fringe benefit. Earnings are subject to applicable state and federal taxes.

During the internship, the selected candidate will work closely with Noble staff members, actively participating in the daily operations of Noble's ranches. This hands-on experience will provide practical exposure to the realities and best practices of managing a working ranch, allowing intern to develop their professional, technical, and educational skills within a real-world agricultural setting.



The intern will attend the applicable Noble Educational courses that complement Noble's ranch management activities. The intern will be given specific projects from the general ranch manager and director of ranches requiring use of computers and software such as Excel.



Intern will engage in a variety of tasks and activities across the ranches, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of ranch operations. Throughout the internship, participant will receive guidance from Noble ranch managers as they evaluate current operations and contribute their ideas toward the development of a management plan. This plan will include strategies and suggestions aimed at increasing the profitability of ranch operations.



The internship involves consistent field and ranch work, requiring interns to spend significant time outdoors. As ranching demands ongoing stewardship of grazing lands and livestock, the work schedule extends beyond a traditional 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM timeframe, reflecting the continuous nature of agricultural responsibilities.



A post-offer background check and WorkSTEPS test will be required.



Interns must:




Have completed master's level coursework in an agriculture-related field and

MUST

be enrolled in a graduate level, ranch management program requiring an internship; Be legally authorized to work in the United States (for any employer) and

WILL NOT

require employment visa sponsorship for this internship; Be capable of working 40 hours per week for up to 6 months; and Have their own means of transportation for non-work-related travel.
